Head of Adult Services
The Glencoe Public Library is seeking a creative, dynamic, public service-oriented professional to lead our Adult Services Department. This position is responsible for planning and developing reference and readers’ advisory services for adults and young adults, the performance of the Adult Services staff, and the development of the adult and young adult materials collection.
The Glencoe Library serves a community of 8,900 generous and supportive users. Our mission is to be a vital and welcoming community partner that encourages personal connection and lifelong learning. We have implemented a new strategic plan and are in the early planning stages of a building renovation.
Required qualifications include an MLS degree from an ALA accredited library school, a minimum of three years of professional library work experience, preferably in a public library, and prior supervisory experience.
